Being at Catawba Valley Community College as an early college high school student has given me the opportunity to see different possibilities than in a traditional high school setting. While balancing college and high school classes got a little crazy at times, I was able to push through with strong support from my fellow students. CVCC impacts all the students and I love the chances I have been given here, either it was in academics or clubs. The leadership opportunities I took led me out of my comfort zone and introduced me to people and places I wouldn’t have had any connection to otherwise.

Without CVCC, I wouldn’t have been able to go to the SkillsUSA National Conference with my friends or travel NC with Phi Theta Kappa. CVCC is a great place to learn because of the close-knit community of students and faculty. I will graduate this spring with my high school diploma and my Associate in Science degree and I’m glad I did it at CVCC.
