Rachel Plott

I am a 38-year-old mother of two and currently working to support my family, in addition to attending school. My first son needed life-saving surgery at 6 weeks old. The admitting nurse left such an impact on me that I decided to go to nursing school to give back what was given to me in the form of comfort, encouragement, and love. I looked at various colleges and Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute was the most welcoming and helpful. They encouraged me and gave me the tools I needed to pursue the career I desired.

Balancing being a mother, working, and succeeding in the rigorous nursing program has been a challenge. My instructors have shown me support, my classmates and I all work together to lift each other to success, and the college has worked with my financial difficulties to ensure I succeed. I feel that I would have been left behind at any other college nursing program. I am going to be a Registered Nurse and I could not be happier! Choosing this college for my nursing degree was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
