When I decided to return to college, it was a no-brainer to find a community college to attend. I was new to North Carolina, but I had heard a lot of positive stories about Piedmont Community College. I was leery, expecting ridiculously high tuition rates. However, once I did my research, I was so thankful to find how affordable PCC was overall. I applied for a foundation scholarship and in the end, my education was almost fully-funded.

PCC’s courses have been rigorous and educational, while the instructors have been extremely supportive. My experience has been nothing short of wonderful. I was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa and was elected President of the chapter. I have met incredible individuals through my involvement and I have grown a lot as a person and a leader.

My PCC experience has challenged me and offered great rewards. Because of PCC, I am able to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. The faculty and staff are also helping to ensure that my transition to East Carolina University is painless. I am so proud to have been a part of this great community college.
